3 Tips For Effectively Cleaning Your Commercial Doors

by Ryan Wright

Keeping your commercial doors nice and clean at all times can have a big impact on the cleanliness of your property. Plus, it can also have an effect on the way that people perceive your business, since customers generally don't like to see dirt and grime. Luckily, following these three tips can help you more effectively clean your commercial doors.

1. Wipe Them Down Regularly

First of all, even though it can be easy to forget, it is a good idea to add cleaning all of your commercial doors to your regular cleaning schedule. The more often that you clean them, the easier it will be for you to get rid of fingerprints, dirt and grime. Plus, frequent cleaning will help reduce the chances of a customer seeing your door looking less than its best.

2. Use a Bristled Brush

Even though a clean cloth might work well for simple, quick wipe-downs, you'll probably want to break out the big guns when you're looking to get a good, deep clean. For example, dirt, grime and fingerprints can be difficult to remove, especially if they have been there for a while. Using a bristled brush with a bit of your favorite detergent is a good way to get rid of grime that might not come off easily with just a rag.

3. Lubricate Doors When You Clean Them

When you clean your doors, you might wipe away any lubricant that has been put on the hinges and other moving parts. After all, this lubricant can attract dirt and grime, and cleaning it away can make your door look a whole lot better. However, you won't want to use your doors for too long without lubricant, since this can cause them to wear out or rust over time. Therefore, after you are finished cleaning your commercial doors, it's a good idea to add a little bit of your favorite lubricant to all of the moving parts. This will also be a good time for you to look for loose screws and other parts of your doors that might not be in the best of shape.

As you can see, keeping your commercial doors nice and clean might not be as tough as you think. If you follow these tips, you'll probably find that you are doing a better and more effective job of keeping your doors nice and clean at all times.
